Prerequisites: CMPT 281

Text: Computer Organization & Architecture - Designing for Performance (7th edition)
           by W. Stallings (Pearson Prentice Hall)    ISBN: 0-13-185644-8

Content: Microprocessors, microcomputers, modern architectures (incl. parallel), instruction sets and programming. Most chapters of the text will be covered (as time permits).

Final Grade
: Curved, based on two Exams (30pts each, 60pts total) and a Presentation (20pts)
   with a Report (20pts);  Bonus points may be awarded based on class participation

Exams: Closed-book
    Midterm: October 27 (Th)
    Final: December 22 (Th), 5:30-7:30pm (RI-117)

Notes:
- No make-up tests! Please do not register if you cannot take the midterm or final as scheduled.
- Class attendance is required, office hours are only for those who attend.
- Severe penalties for academic dishonesty (sharing work, etc.) in any form! Ask me if in doubt.
